Rabbi Barry Dolinger

Rabbi Barry Dolinger received his ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University and has served as spiritual leader of CBS since September of 2011.  Passionate about spiritual practice and community building, he’s helped our dynamic modern orthodox synagogue grow into a transformational hub within the local community.  He currently serves as President of the Board of Rabbis of Greater RI, and has served on the boards of the Jewish Community Day School of RI, the Jewish Alliance of Greater RI, and several on the rabbinic advisory board of Torat Chayim.  Rabbi Dolinger is a proud member of the Rabbinical Council of America, the International Rabbinic Fellowship, and Torat Chayyim. He also serves as a member of AIPAC’s National Council and on the Clergy Council of Roots/Shorashim/Judur.  Rabbi Dolinger has been deeply influenced by being a Rabbis Without Borders Fellow and a Institute for Jewish Spirituality’s Clergy Leadership Program graduate.    
Rabbi Dolinger co-founded Mitzvah Matzos, a non-profit Passover matzo bakery that donates all profits to fight human trafficking, and founded Lighthouse Kosher, a non-profit Kosher supervisory agency.  An attorney licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, he serves as the Executive Director and Menahel of the International Beit Din, and lives in Pawtucket with his wife Naomi and two daughters, Netzach and Yahli.

R' Emily Goldberg Winer, Director of spiritual engagement

R' Emily Goldberg Winer is the Director of Spiritual Engagement at Congregation Beth Sholom and a hospital chaplain in Providence, RI.

Her previous positions include: Manager of Boston for the Shalom Hartman Institute, rabbinic intern at the Stanton Street Shul, Congregation Beth Sholom/Talmud Torah, Columbia/Barnard Hillel, chaplain at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, community educator at Brandeis, and coordinator at the Hebrew Home of Riverdale. She completed a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at New York Presbyterian Hospital, the Jewish Innovation Fellowship at the 92nd Street Y, the Join for Justice Fellowship, and the rabbinic student fellowship at SHI-NA.

A Wexner Graduate and Atra Fellow, Emily has engaged in programs rooted in religious diversity, first among fellow Jews at the Bronfman Youth Fellowship and Drisha, and later across faiths at the Institute for Jewish-Christian Understanding, Tanenbaum, and Auburn. Emily lives in Providence, Rhode Island with her husband Jonah, their daughter Selah, and their extroverted Golden Retriever named Barley.

Saderloune Fevry, Office manager

 

Sadie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rhode Island College with a degree in public administration and minored in international nongovernmental organizations studies. During her time at RIC, Sadie completed the Rhode Island State Internship Program, where she worked with a group to present a policy proposal to Rhode Island State House officials.     

She is also the proud mother of a beautiful boy, K.P. In her free time, Sadie enjoys poetry, painting, and kickboxing.

Tiferet Rose, Director of Kids Programming at Beth Sholom

Tiferet Rose is the Director of Kids Programming at Beth Sholom, where she creates engaging and meaningful experiences for children to connect with Jewish life. With 15 years of experience in teaching and coordinating educational programs, she brings a deep understanding of child-centered learning and community-building to her role.
In addition to her work at Congregation Beth Sholom, Tiferet works at JCDSRI as the 4th and 5th grade Science teacher, as well as a weekly specialty, Nature in the Neighborhood, for K-3rd grade. Tiferet’s strong foundation in Jewish education, rooted in her own day school years, informs her approach to engaging youth in experiential education.
